exploration 7 by Benjy Fournier

This article is about Mr. Money and when his flight got cancled.  He had boarded a flight to ecuador from Houston in the late afternoon.  Once in the plane and on the runway, a storm started and ended up canceling the flight.  This resulted in everyone lining up at the information desk to re-book flights and request money compensation.  MMM skipped these and re-booked on his phone and stayed at a cheap hotel.  He concludes this article with saying how harnessing the power of fasting is "badass".

"Of all the badass concepts I have come across in recent years, fasting is one of the best. You simply shut your mouth and relish the feeling of mild (or strong) hunger instead of complaining about it. Suddenly, you can travel the world and do almost anything without the standard rich-world obsession of planning your next meal. Because if you lift up your shirt and inspect the area just above the belt, you’ll see that the next several meals are already pre-installed. The physiological and mental benefits of this are profoundly good."  This is the first quote I found to be a weakness, because I disagree with the logic.  I don't find it "badass" at all to not eat, I find it stupid.  After telling a long story about his plane trip, he concludes with this stupid remark which I find very anti-climatic and making the article a waste of time to read.

"A wealthy lifestyle is really built on rich habits. And it doesn’t take much of this change in attitude, to completely change your life."  I was actually a big fan of this final quote and was happy to see that MMM ended on a strong note.  I completely agree with this quote.  I beleive that good habits greatly effect ones success and that a great attitude can "completely change your life" if it is proporly applied.

From the other blog posts made, I think this blog seems very interesting.  If I had only seen this post, I would never read the blog again.  The fact that he goes into so much detail about a canceled flight and concludes with the thought that fasting is bad ass is both annoying and a waste of time.  MMM is a great character which is why it is understandable that people enjoy his blog, but this specific post is a fail.  I think that people who would like a little intellectually backed comedy would be the people to enjoy this blog.  I enjoy comedy and like some of his other posts, but this one just wasn't for me.

  1. Good job writing this review. I was really interested especially during the part where he was saying "Of all the badass concepts I have come across in recent years, fasting is one of the best. 2. I agree with you on how it's stupid that MMM thinks it's badass to fast! We need food. But I do agree with MMM when he talks about attitude. A great attitude "can completely change your life." I enjoyed reading your review, great post.
