  1. Learned new things about Mardi Gras, and I like how you compared it to St Patrick's Day. Great Presentation, nice visuals!

  2. Positive: Colorful and creative slides throughout the presentation. Very well put together and kept me interested the entire time. Made me want to partake in Mardi Gras!

Criticism (Constructive): Quite possibly the only thing that was was lacking a little bit was the amount of detail put into your slides. Also, a few more slides and wish you would have shown the video! Great job overall though.

  3. It was fun learning about the Mardi Gras and how its still a powerful event in our society today, but I was lost on the importance of your subject. I think it would have been better if you presented your information with more clarity. I did enjoyed learning about the beads and when Mardi Gras originated.

  4. It was pretty cool learning about Mardi Gras, I knew of them before your presentation but did not really know where they came from, and how they were celebrated around the world. I thought your comparison to St. Patrick's Day was a really good comparison, and I never thought of it that way. Great Job!

  5. I was very intrigued on learning about mardi gras. It was very interesting and fun. I think you could have focused a little bit more on the history and the drinking involved with this and how it has been primarily focused on that. Good Job!

  6. I always thought that Mardi Gras was just this party that people go to and act a fool. While I was right in my assumption, I am glad that it did not always used to be the wild, craziness that it is today. I enjoyed the part about the masks and how they made people feel as though they were one with each other. Whereas me, I would probably would have end up using it as sling shot or to hide.

My only criticism would have been to have a bit more detail on the story about the coconuts and how it tide in with the flashing motive.

    That's it. Good job. :-)

  7. I really enjoyed your two's presentation. I learned a lot more about the Mardi Gras than I knew before. You guys did a great job of organizing your presentation. You made it very easy to follow and understand what you were talking about. The only suggestion I have is I think that a video would have been fun to watch.

  8. Great looking presentation! I loved the slides because they were visually appealing and reflective of the events colors. Over all good job. I think that a little more enthusiasm would have been appreciated and possibly even a video.

  9. I was always in the dark about what the color of the beads at Mardi Gras stood for, but because of your presentation I now know that the purple color stands for justice, the green color stands for faith, and the gold color stands for power. I thought that this part of your presentation was really interesting! I also never knew that Mardi Gras was the largest masked holiday nationwide (maybe internationally <--- I didn't write that down completely in my notes!)

I thought you guys did a very exceptional job at speaking to the class about your topic, and you kept my attention throughout your whole presentation. You guys did wonderful!

  10. I enjoyed your presentation. You guys seemed like you really knew your information and the powerpoint was well put together! The only thing that would of been cool to see would be a video. Other then that, you guys did a good job speaking to the class.

  11. I thought you guys did a good job on the project. You guys seemed like you knew your information. I liked how you guys talked about where the traditions came from, and how it all got started. I think it would have been fun to learn about the coconuts, but great job otherwise.

  13. Great Powerpoint!!! I don't really think there was anything more to improve. It was very informative and interesting; especially the comparisons to St. Patricks day and comparisons to how the holiday was spent back then vs. now

  14. I think you guys did great on the presentation. You had a nice use of pictures, facts, and covered why it was iconic very well. Great comparisons.

  15. Your did a great job describing the history of Mardi Gras and the meanings behind the whole festival which I though was great, you didn't touch on modern day Mardi Gras very much so that was the only thing that could have been added.
